What is CF2H?

CF2H is the brainchild of Juliet Bentley, a former founder of a successful medical malpractice insurance company that was sold to Berkshire Hathaway in the healthcare insurance risk market. Having worked directly with healthcare professionals for over 15 years, Juliet’s mantra is to “keep it transparent and keep it simple.” By using the services of CF2H, consultants and hospitals will benefit from accelerated invoice payments and robust, modern medical billing solutions that free up their time.

The big conversation today is about doctors entering private practice. Juliet Bentley is a strong supporter of this movement and advocates for the transition. Doctors need and deserve immediate payment solutions, and CF2H is the first company to bring this service to the UK.

How do I switch over to CF2H?

The process is very straightforward and quick, involving the completion of a simple digital form. We are experienced in managing the changeover process for established consultants and in setting up new doctors entering private practice.

How will my billing process work?

If you have cloud-based patient and practice management software, we will access the financial aspects of your practice remotely through an API. This enables us to work with your practice to easily raise, send, allocate, and pay invoices within your current system.

However, if you do not have your own software and would like to benefit from our internal software, we can accept billing information in a number of different encrypted ways, including email, CSV file, or post. We aim to raise your invoices on the same day we receive the information.

When raising invoices, we will ensure they are generated with the correct fees for each insurance company, where these vary, and for self-pay patients. Any shortfall invoices are sent as required.

How does the collection process work?

If you are on our Invoice Accelerated programme, you will be paid as soon as the invoice is sent to the insurer for payment. If you are also on our self-pay billings programme, our experienced billings team follows a recognised and successful process for collecting your fees.

This process starts with timely and accurate billing, but for any monies not paid on time, we implement our proven collection methods to ensure payment is received. It is our efficient processes that allow us to confidently say we will collect 100 percent of your authorised insurer fees.

What financial reports do I receive?

We will provide you with tailored or standard financial reports on a weekly basis. Our standard monthly reports include details of invoices sent, monies collected, outstanding invoices, and bank reconciliation details. However, we are also able to provide additional reports upon request, including referral details and fee analysis.

We also provide year-end reports in an accountant-ready format if required.

How do you transfer money to me?

Money collected on your behalf is transferred into your nominated bank account, usually within hours after the invoice is processed for payment on the accelerated invoice programme, or monthly on the self-pay billings programme. We operate a bank risk transfer account with all monies collected on behalf of our clients, which is a legal requirement when holding client funds.

What are your charges?

We charge a small percentage of your invoice value, and the amount varies depending on the invoice programme you choose. We offer two options: an accelerated programme, where you receive the monies immediately after the invoice is processed, and a self-pay billings programme, where you receive payment on a monthly basis.

We charge no setup fees, and you can leave at any time.

I don’t want to upset my secretary, what should I do?

In most cases, we find that secretaries are actually pleased to have the invoicing and collection responsibilities outsourced to a specialist company. This allows them to focus on the patient-centric activities within the practice.

As practices grow, secretaries have less time to spend on billing, as ensuring the patients are taken care of takes precedence. They also have to manage holidays, absences, and sickness. We can support them with our medical secretaries who operate within our business and are paid by the minute—offering a very cost-effective solution to filling in any gaps that need covering.

We recommend having an open conversation with your secretary; you might be surprised by how positively they respond. We have a strong working relationship with private practice secretaries, partnering with them to support medical professionals and assisting them during downtime.

How long will I have to wait for payment?

Typically, you will receive payment within 24 hours — sometimes as quickly as 3 hours. If you submit your invoice early in the morning, you could be paid by that afternoon.

Will I be responsible for any follow up or collection of my bills ?

No, as long as the invoice is authorised by the insurer, we will take full responsibility for all collection of invoices.

What support do I receive and who is my point of contact?

Your point of contact is a dedicated CF2H consultant, assigned locally to your account. For hospitals or clinics, your point of contact will be Juliet Bentley herself and her hybrid team.

Will I still need to generate my own invoices?

CF2H will generate the invoices on your behalf. As part of your exclusive billing gateway, which is set up for you, all of your dedicated fields and prices will be pre-populated, making billing easier than ever. Alternatively, we can link directly into your current system to receive your data.

What if I make a mistake?

You’re only human, and CF2H is here to assist in any way we can. You can speak directly to your dedicated account manager — a real person — not just communicate by email, which can be frustrating when there’s a sense of urgency.

What’s my notice period?

You don’t have one — you can leave at any time. All we require is written confirmation.

Is there a set-up fee?

No, we’ve waived this fee because it’s so easy and simple to set you up with our in-house technology. We don’t feel it is justified to charge a fee.
